The lady's website - did she mean AAFES or some distributor? I'd like to know the link, please.

Looks like they are a vendor/distributor for AAFES. The website she directed me to is rsrgroup.com. I am thinking that there may be different distributors for different exchanges. I could not find any rugers for sale on this website. Good selection of everything else though.

Thanks. It may be that they are just one of several distributors that AAFES uses.

I carry always not because I go places trouble is likely, but because trouble has a habit of not staying in its assigned zone.

I can't speak for other locations, but at Hill AFB, you can get most of the stuff you can get anywhere else. Here, if they don't stock exactly what you want, they can order it.
Ironically, when shopping for my CZ, the Exchange price was the highest I found. When tax was factored in, it was within $5 of Off-base dealers. I decided to suport my local retailer. Many things are better on base, but I seem to have found the odd exception.
I was extremely disappointed to find out that they had no plans (i.e. No fricken way, from higher up) to sell any sort of reloading supplies. Nada. I can sort of understand a reluctance to mess about with HAZMAT issues for powder & primers, but bullets & brass should be another matter.

Here at Camp Lejeune they have a variety of pistols and long guns. If they don't have it, they can special order it or if you find something some where outside of the area it can be shipped(with all the FFL paperwork of course). Plus, price matching, if the same weapon(brand, model ect) is at a local dealer for less. though i did find a XD(M) 9mm 4" at the MCX for $90 less than out in town. Thats not including the no tax thing.....

I'm near Hill AFB and AAFES sells guns now too.
Now there's more than the Class 6 store to get me on base since I retired.

Your doing it wrong. Your supposed to retire then get a job on the base afterwards. Apparently you didn't recieve the memo.
So...you're not a fan of the state liqour stores? How can that be?

Funny! Hello, the Class 6 stores
used to be $$$ savers, but no more.
The latest AAFES flyer that I received,
shows that they are going to have a 10%
discount on all Ruger firearms in stock.

I hope all/most exchanges will follow, I thought MCB Quantico was one of the last hold outs. This gives me a new found hope!

Here in Utah, the state runs all of the Liquor Stores. Outside of them, it's just 3.2% beer at the "normal" stores. The Class IV is fairly big deal here. In a state where the liqour laws treat people like adults, things are better. In CA, Walgreen's has better deals on adult beverages than we can get here, even on base.
