Even back in the days when Jesus was a Private, we had "wish lists". I put down Vietnam, Twentynine Palms, and Okinawa ... they sent me to Camp Lejeune ... however, I did get my first choice about six months later. Never did make it to the stumps, but was assigned to Okinawa, after RVN.

They call it a "wish" list for a reason. Did you ever "wish" that the high school beauty queen was your back seat companion every weekend?
Wish you would win the Power Ball lottery? Well, your chances of getting much on your wish list are probably way less than gettting any of the above. I was in the Air Force and I think when they looked at my wish list they looked at my choice and spun the globe 180 degrees and stuck a pin there and sent me orders to the nearest location to it. My wife has been active duty army now for 23+ years. We have NEVER gotten any of her choices and Alaska has been the number 1 choice since she enlisted. I am a very avid hunter and pilot and our dream was to get stationed in Alaska. She is currently stationed in the arm pit of the world...Washington DC. Friggin place sucks!!! WW |

Screw Alaska, There's more paved road in the Denver metro area than the entire state. And the women are ugly as sin.

PM me if you want info. I've been here since 72 and served at Ft Wainwright and Ft Richardson. It's a great place - hunting, fishing, snow machines, and if you don't carry a gun you would be strange. Don't forget you can see Russia also.
