Meet a lot of people that join the army for their specific mos because they enjoy the civilian opportunities they offer. Most of these probably end up being the lifers. Though my job really has no opportunities outside of the military, there's plenty of people that make a fairly good living doing it as a contractor.

Being a Vietnam Vet, I've had forty years of these charlatans. I swear they are everywhere and they have no shame. I feel for the Iraq/Afghanistan Vets today. The same clueless fools are there for them too.

But that guy wasn't checked out, because he was serving the anti-military, anti-Bush cause of the left. Trust me, they knew who and what he was. He was just too useful of an idiot to expose ... until they didn't need him any longer.
It's a small military. People are constantly moving to different bases and units. Arrive at a new unit and start bsing, someone there knows somebody who knows the truth. 4 years after I met one of the worst excuses for a soldier I've ever encountered, another guy arrived in our unit that was in the same nebraska guard unit. Said it in another thread. People can lie all they want, but it always gets exposed sooner or later.

Pretty much how I feel too.

So now they're wishing they'd had a pair when they were younger. Do they just shut up and write it off as "regrets"? No, they have to try to steal the valor of those who did stand forth. It really does piss me the "F" off!

I've seen people suffer greatly from horrible wounds due to their decision to join the military during time of war. The thought that there are those who seek to steal the valor from these wounded war Vets, not to forget those who have actually been killed, and of course from all those of us who served honorably, it just makes my blood boil!
