Anyone interested in swapping uppers? I have a late 2007 .45acp XD service model 4" and I was wanting to move to the 5" tactical model. I want to avoid buying a whole new gun if possible. I want to start shooting uspsa and the 5" model would be a little better suited for this. The upper is in great condition and comes with Dawson adjustable rear/Fiber optic front sight. has approx 2k rounds through it...

I'm located in CA

This seems like a bad idea. If the parts don't work together you are sh!t out of luck.

I think the barrel may have to be fitted to match your frame. If it varies from the original weapon too much, it maybe untuneable.

Also, there depending on when the two weapons were manufactued, there might be problems fitting the slide to frame, either too much play, etc.

These are just my thoughts, anyone?
