Try Dick's Sporting Goods in store, not online (different products and pricing in store). You should be able to get a stack on 24 gun with a decent fire rating for under 800. Basic safe but it certainly does the job.

I checked out Dicks the other day. I certainly didn't see any better pricing than what's online. But then again, I didn't talk to anyone to see if they had a sale going on or anything.

Springfield, where can I get a copy of valley trader?

Best thing I can tell you is to head west on 7 and check at the gas stations. It will be in the same area as newspapers and the "For rent" magazines. I'm not sure how far East they carry it. Furthest you would have to go would probably be Berryville. "The Valley Trader" covers the majority of the Northern Shenandoah Valley and parts of West Virginia. If you find anything in there, it will probably be a decent deal.

Gander Mountian sells them that size in your price range

I think they have a GM brand 24 gun safe for $500 in the Harrisburg, PA store . . . I'd drive to DE myself just so I can buy one tax free . . . LOL

If you decide to purchase at Gander Mountain, keep in mind there is one located in Winchester, VA
