Hiya fellas! Just as the title says, I got a Hornady .223Rem File Trim Die up for trade - if anyone is interested, PM me!
I recently bought a progressive reloading setup (literally last weekend) & bought this die along with it - while it works fine (fits any press & trims exactly to length), I later found out it's best suited for use in a single-stage or turret-style press, as it won't allow enough threads to use the included lock ring when used on the LNL's bushing system. (it can still used w/ an LNL via threading alone, tho, just not lockable) It has been used ONCE to trim EXACTLY 4 cases only. The top is meant to get marred up (as seen in pic), but it is hardened and will not damage the die when used with a file or low-speed cutting/emery disc. Here it is: ![]() Thanks for looking! If anyone has a spare Hornady Powder Measure insert (or better the rifle micrometer insert!), that would rock!!
