Trade: My 2 12 rd XD40 mags for your 2 16 rd XD9 mags (DFW, TX)

I have two slightly used 12 rd XD40 magazines that I want to trade for two 16 rd XD9 magazines of similar condition. I have enough magazines for my 40 and could use a few more for my 9s. I'm in north Texas and face-to-face is preferred. If not, we both cover our own shipping.

Someone PM'ed me offering to buy earlier. I held off because the cost of two new XD9 mags is higher than what I could sell two used XD40 mags. I was hoping to trade so there's no out of pocket expenses.

Hmmm...

I have some 9mm mags I bought when I was planning on getting a conversion barrel, I'd be willing to swap. If you still want to swap, shoot me a PM.

You coming to Waco anytime soon?

You know, you could get someone on here to tell you what you need to do to your 40 mags to make them work as 9mm mags, and not have to spend a penny on any shipping or anything.

Meh. I don't care much to Jerry rig a 40 mag into a 9 mag.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Here's some info.
http://www.xd-hs2000.com/images/submag2small.jpg

When I did one mag I used some non-toothed channel-locks with some rubber fuel line covering the jaws to adjust the feed lips. I first measured a known good 9mm mag for the width with some calipers and viola. You do have to be careful not to bulge the mag on the front or back sides, otherwise you loose your drop-free function. It worked good, I still use it for the conversion barrel, but I ended up just picking up some 9 mags for when I use that.
