I am looking at the holster right now and you must be describing a different holster. There are two screws that attach the holster to the paddle and they are located at the top of the holster. They can be positioned in different places on the paddle to create a cant.

As far as I can see, there is NO WAY what you describe (loosening screws causing a scratch) could happen in this holster. First, if the screws became loose, the threaded end would actually be moved farther away from the holstered gun. The heads of the screws are located on the side of the paddle that will contact your body.

Even if the screws were overtightened, it would be hard to get them to protrude enough to contact the holstered gun. I mean, there is not much give between the plastic paddle and the plastic holster. So, if the correct screws are used, there will not be a problem.

If you've seen a holster like this that has scratched up the gun, the likely thing is that the owner lost a screw and went down to Ace Hardware and replaced it with one that was too long.

nope, it was an uncle mikes and it was NIB. the screws weren't tightened enough at the factory or something -- be that as it may, im glad the one in question doesn't have that potential issue

Its for the Children..................

"9. POCKET KNIVES: 4 small Swiss Army 2&1/4" closed; 2 small Leatherman type, about 3" closed; 1 large Leatherman type 4" closed, black plastic grip. 2 medium Swiss Army type, 3" closed; 2 small lockbacks; 1 small lockback with red light; 2 small SS money clip type; 2 pocket knives. Some of these knives have advertising logos on case. Depending on how many requests i get for the knives I would put 3 for a $, no FREE but 3 to a single person to help offset postage. If I only get 1 request...He/She gets all 16."

Helen Bedd: I have a proposition that I think is better than the Salvation Army. I am a biologist and run a few Junior Hunter camps in the fall. Any extra kives you have left would be cool freebie handouts for the kids who attend these or ones I contact in the field hunting with their dads. If you think that's a good use for them, send them this way and I will post some things. I certainly don't need any more cheap knives, but this sort of thing is a big hit with young outdoorsmen.

You can e-mail me direct at Cervidnut@aol.com.

Thanks, JIM
