I took the post about the software as sarcasm...who knows...the purpose of the thread is to give some and get some. If you're getting, you need to give. I don't like to see people hoarding free stuff and then turning around and not offering anything up.

Lets remember the spirit in which this post was started. We should all try to keep our gives and takes to as close a 1:1 ratio as possible. I know that I've personally given away only one thing and have recieved some excellent grip tape from another fellow member. I probably won't be trying to get anything until I find something else lying around that I'd part with.

I offered up a 1911 holster that Hellen Bed claimed, for some reason it didnt arrive, so Im told, but i agree, this should be a 1:1 ratio here, and I have yet to claim anything. When I do, I will offer something up again. As far as Im concerned, if someone is hogging the freebies, they need to be cut-off until they offer up the same amount of stuff that they have claimed.

I think the estimated values for items being posted should be declared so if someone claims an item they can in turn post something of similar value or vice versa get something of similar value. I don't want to offer something that is worth $25 and only get something worth $20!

I agree, even though you're joking to an extent. I wanted to help pay for the holster that was given to me through this thread. The poster wouldn't accept shipping, a gift card, nothing, even though it runs $60.95 new.

I offered up a holster, but it was closer to 1/3 of the value of that holster, but that's what I had. I was very appreciative for the holster as it's now my daily carry.

I'm not worried about a couple dollar difference, like you said give $25 get $20, but I'm trying to make up for the difference in that holster I got. I think I'm going to go to a couple shops this weekend that both have used/bargain boxes with holsters, belts, slings, etc and see what I can find that I can pass out here.
