WTB unmodified XD 9mm factory sear
Need an unmodified factory sear for my XD9. Used is fine as long as it is still in good shape.
Bought a used gun, turned out the sear had been polished/modified. I don't know who did it (previous owner also did not know). I am worried about reliability since the polishing seems to be quite extensive. But the trigger pull is very nice, lighter (about 3.5lbs) with a much cleaner break than most stock XD trigger out there. However, since I did not know who did the modification and how safe it is, I want to replace it with a stock factory sear. Thanks. PS: email works best, but will check this thread once a day. |

I don't have a spare sear but I do have a thought.
Have the gun checked by a qualified gunsmith. Two reasons: One, the sear might be just fine and whoever monkeyed with it might have changed the spring and that's what you really need to get; Two, if the sear really is screwed up, you want to know if anything else was done wrong too.
