I took this year off from racing and instead played in the mud, but my collection has just got too big I am selling off about half of my vechciles-6 in total, but figured this may interest some here. Pay no mind to the last paragraph that’s just for the craigslist thieves. May consider some firearm trades but $800 max and only long guns in MD. Really only looking for a stock SS 10/22. What I have here is a nice 1979 CJ 7 Renegade that has been retro fitted with a Auto Trans and Dana 300 Tcase with lots of goodies. But before I get to those the best part is this rig has been converted to fuel injection, with a Mopar Performance Fuel injection kit. This is a great kit not the cheap junk you see, or the TB injections which is only marginally better then a carbed rig. This puts a fuel injector in each cylinder, and the throttle response, drivability, and POWER is pure CJ bliss. This combined with the auto tranny makes this CJ very fast getting up to 50MPH with 33’s is no sweat, it will cruise at 65 MPH all day no problem, and last trip I took got 18MPG with 33’s. Not to mention anyone who likes to offroad/craw will attest to the benefits of a Auto over a manual trans. I could go on and on about just the Fuel injection system but I will try and get to some of the other stuff has a York motor driven Air compressor, the front bumper is used as the tank. This allows you to use air tools on the trail such as an impact gun, or inflate your tires after running trails. Has a 4” Black Diamond Lift with a Warrior shackle reversal on the front axle for a smoother ride, and as stated rides on 33’s and it rides so nice down the hwy way. There’s a lot to like about this CJ its defiantly not one you see everyday.

This is a great Jeep but it is a 79 CJ, so it has some of the usual issues, rust on the body is average to good, could use floor pans but still metal there. Frame looks great with min rust. Has the usual small Leak between the engine and trans. Some of the gauges seem to work when they want. The Speedo just went out yesterday—probably cable- easy fix. This is defiantly one you could drive- have fun with and restore at the same time. Don’t expect a mint CJ7 a mint CJ7 with these mods would easily sell for over 10K on ebay. Its a 6 Cylinder with approx 122k on her.
