Nighthawk Custom Enforcer, 5" 1911 Government model pattern pistol built in 2003. According to Craig Ghoulson at Nighthawk, this is the 24th gun they made; and one of the first forgings they started out with. It is one of only 56 Enforcers made. The Enforcer line is now discontinued, but only due to the fact that everyone wanted its cousin, the Talon. The Talon line was outselling the Enforcers by a dramatic margin, so they discontinued the Enforcer after a very limited run. All the Enforcer needs in order to be a Talon is a checkered rear of slide, serrated slide top, rear night sight and blended extended magazine well. They are virtually the same gun, except for these cosmetics.
This gun originally started out with a black Perma Kote finish on it, and the Nighthawk trademark grips. These were apparently changed out when a previous owner had the hard chrome applied by Tripp Research. I believe I'm the third owner.
The gun features a Nighthawk Match bull barrel, Heinie rear sight & trijicon front, full length guide rod, checkered front strap, forged steel frame, no MIM parts, and Nighthawk's lifetime guarantee This gun has an add-on MSH with magwell and a pair of beautiful walnut grips. It has run flawlessly for me, and has a great trigger. The only blemish I can find is a little finish wear on the sights. The only reason it is on the trading block is that it has the bull barrel which disqualifies it from being IDPA legal. As that is about all I shoot these days, I can't afford to have all this gun ($) that I rarely shoot. I probably have about 450 rounds through it; the previous owner put about 160 through it. Comes with (2) 7 round mags, a pair of bottom bevelled, non mag-well, double diamond checkered Cocobolo or Rosewood grips (I can't tell which), original MSH, & the Nighthawk Custom bag.
