Thinking of selling my G.I
I have a SA 1911 G.I Parkerized that i got about 9 months ago and i've only put about 150 rounds through it. I was wondering what kind of price i should be asking because i'm going to try to sell it very soon.

I think that out of the kindness of your heart, and for the good of the board here at XDTalk, that you should give it away... Now let me PM you my shipping address.
Seriously though, the gun would be in "like new" condition, so I would probably ask about 90% of current pricing. But you'll also have to take into account that people will have to pay shipping and FFL fees (unless you pay shipping) if they aren't in your state. |

This is kind of funny. I recently did this on another board where I was thinking of selling my xd-9 and testing the waters on what kind of price I could get for it. Man did I get flamed. I have never heard so many people bitching about how I should crap or get off the pot. It really pissed me off b/c I was just trying to get advice from a group of knowledgable people about resale value of a gun and what the interest would be. But they went off on me and I am really not involved with that site anymore.
I have no problem with you asking and I think it is wise to do so. I just hope you don't get flamed like I did.

My local dealer offered me a new in box SA GI last week for $480 plus tax, so keep that in mind when you set your "slightly used" price.

Granted I got a killer deal.....
But, I just bought a Springer ss GI, very good condition for $425. So with yours I would start it at $425-450. Here's a pic.....
