Oh gees, I don't know the test fire date. I think if I remember right it was two months ago. I will have to see if I can find the lil packet.

The date listed on the envelope containing the spent round is written in the DAY/MONTH/YEAR format. Chances are good that your gun has the new "metal surface treatment process known as Melonite(TM)", but posting the date will head off those questions before they're asked.

Heh. Having the new finish is a very good thing.
There have recently been some "new" XDs purchased that have the old finish... Evidently they were sitting in a distributor's warehouse for a while. |

Huh, guess I you learn something new everyday. I remember thinking this case was fired just a few months ago. But I will check just to be sure.
