I think it would make it a lot easier if people knew which State you are either selling from or would like to buy from.

Some good examples recenty have been:

WTS: XD-9 SC (PA)
sloanwinters

WTT: RIA 1911 .45ACP Gov't 5" for XD9 service/sc (MI)
TireFryer

FS: XD 45 Tactical BiTone .45acp NIB , FTF in middle TN
maxcom

Put the State in parenthesis like the first two above. You will do yourself and others a HUGE service by doing this.

PUT YOUR CITY AND/OR STATE IN YOUR PROFILE!

It lets everyone know the context of your posts. Very important when discussing ranges, laws, etc...

OK, I'm missing something here. Yeah, some states (and cities) have more restrictive gun laws than others, but why would that matter to the potential buyer? If I live in, say, Nevada and want to sell my gun, why would someone interested in buying it in, say, Indiana care? The gun is being shipped to an FFL, right? Please clarify.
