Because? He (of course) can make any rule he wants; I just want to understand his rationale, that's all. Are there state laws involved? Please, educate me.

Becuase a lot more people will be more intrested in things Face to Face (FTF) I have almost never seen a thread where they did not list where they where from, and someone not ask either by posting or threw PM. It makes the whole process easier.

Ah, that makes sense. Yeah, if I was buying from a member who was only 100 mi. away or so, I'd want to do it in person. Thanks. I happen to live in one of the more, umm, 'restrictive' states, so I guess I am a bit paranoid. Sorry if I created any concern.

Full State name rather than abreviation?
Do you guys think it would be helpful if people put in the full name of the State rather than just an abreviation? UT wouldn't pull anything up when I did a search, it is too short. So maybe if everyone started putting in the full name of the state it would make searchs easier. I just started a thread on this subject and someone pointed me to this thread. I don't personally buy a lot of guns so it's not really a matter of FFL's or anything, but just a matter of convenience. I'd like to find deals hear locally and I think this idea would make it easier. What are your thoughts on it?
