Thumbs up AR-15 223 Rem (5.56) Barrel, 20" (MO)

  • Heavy contour, 20" barrel (not a bull barrel)
  • 1 in 9" twist, threaded
  • It's marked "DPMS 5.56" which (according to DPMS) means it has the military 5.56 NATO chamber
  • Material is chrome moly, no chrome lining
  • Barrel includes the railed gas block shown
  • Barrel extension is cut with feed ramps at the bottom
  • I screwed on an A2 flash hider loosely when I got the barrel so I wouldn't ding up the threads. I'll include the flash hider no charge.
Condition is good, it was a take-off from an upper assembly. No rust. My buddy bought it new and it has a round count somewhere between 500 and 1000. The finish is obviously darker and glossy ahead of the gas block, I don't know if DPMS paints/duracoats barrels ahead of the gas block but it looks to me like the front of the barrel is duracoated or painted while the area behind the gas block is plain parkerizing. I cleaned it well and the bore looks good, though I don't have a borescope.

I thought I was going to use it in a build but I decided to pay off my car first, so I'm letting this go for $100 even for a local deal. Add $15 if you want it shipped to you anywhere in the continental US. I take money orders or cashier's checks. Absolutely no personal checks please. I take cash if you send it but I assume no responsibility for lost cash in the mail. I ship fast and hate to wait for a check to clear as much as you do.

PM or post with questions. I've bought and sold here plenty of times, so buy with confidence. THANKS!!

2nd page bump - I'm surprised no one jumped on this, it seems like a more than fair price for a takeoff barrel. I guess everyone is building carbines these days.

AR-15 223 Rem (5.56) Barrel, 20" (MO)

Did a search for 5.56 barrels and your offer came up. I am interested. I am putting together an AR 16 useing std parts. Will I be able to get barrel nut, delta ring, std handguards etc to finish my project. I have a complete lower/upper receiver so I need the barrel to finish.
Thanks
Jay

I do not know why I asked the question. I am sure I can get all I need for a DPMS barrel. Let me know where to send Payment. I can pay through PayPal if you have an account. That is the fastest way to close deal. I will pay the extra 3% or what ever they charge to receive funds if you will accept that payment method.

I will absolutely not give PayPal my business and recommend that others do the same due to their classification of "assault rifle" parts and accessories (they don't want you to buy a 30-round mag with their service, for instance).

Thanks for the bump though. As I said, money orders, cashier's checks or cash.
