FS: S & W 38 Airweight 'Chiefs Special' - (PA)
Selling a Smith & Wesson 38 'Chiefs Special' +P
Product: Model 637 Revolver

Bought new in unopened box (non-floor model) on 2/2/2009 at Cabela's. Is both SA/DA. Has only had 115 Remington UMC 38 Special rounds fired through it and has performed perfectly. This is a very accurate, light-weight CCW revolver. Has a built-in trigger lock with a special key for anyone that is concerned about such things ...as well as a coated cable lock.

So why am I selling it. Simple. This was my very first hand-gun purchase before I got 'hooked'. I bought it on the advise of a friend to start with a revolver but after buying an XDM 9, I quickly fell in love with semi-automatics. I'm selling it to help fund a new semi purchase.

This 38 Special Model #637 comes with everything shown in the second photo:
  • the 38 Special
  • the padded S & W case that it was sold in
  • a coated cable lock and keys
  • the special key for the internal trigger lock
  • an HKS Speed Loader (minus the bullets)
  • some spring loaded snap caps
  • Safety & Instruction Manual
  • Original Product Registration Card (not filled out)




New selling price reduced from $350 to $325 for this practically new revolver. I will sell face to face in the Philadelphia, PA area to avoid shipping charges for the buyer but buyer will still need to pay for a legal FFL transfer fee. If shipping is required ...Buyer pays shipping and FFL transfer fee, and any other related fees.

I will print out and sign a Bill of Sale to the new owner.

*Not interested in a trade at this time since I have already made plans to purchase a replacement semi-automatic.

That's a great price for whomever gets it. I paid that for a used one last year local as well, and was thrilled to death with the price. Seems they go for $400 plus around here used nowadays. I'd buy as many as I could get at that price!
