Sure Sight vs XS Sights
Ok...I'm getting ready to upgrade the stock sights on my .40sc daily carry and I love the idea of getting a solid flash sight picture and it seems to me that Sure Sight and XS are leading the industry in this area.
Does anyone have experience firing with both of these sights in both light and dark conditions?? I'd love to hear your impressions of each and how they stack up against each other. Right now I'm leaning toward the XS Big Dot, but want to give Sure Sight a fair shake before I make a purchase. This dude on YouTube seems to favor the XS. Check it out. Video 1 Video 2 Any thoughts appreciated, thanks...Dan

I just got a brand new G22 for work, and I am going to be putting the XS sights on... It is a personal preference, but I can acquire sight alot faster. The big dot really helps in the police work line as far as being able to keep the sight in your periffial when giving directions or whatnot. I have tried the XS at the Tactical Defense Institute, because they put them on almost all of their guns, and I fell in love with them. They are not a prescision 30 yard target sight, but a rapid fire, defense sight. all on what you need!

Get the sight you feel the best looking at. Don't let the video of poppers being knocked down at a 100 yards with the XS sight sway you. That can be done with any sight if you work at it enough. Heck check out the video "FIRST-FIRE" with D.R. Middlebrooks. He has a web sight I believe you can get a peak at the video its Tactical Shooting Academy - Firearms Training at a Higher Level | Welcome Middlebrook teaches Point Shooting. In his video you see him knocking down poppers at a 100 yards Point Shooting. The gun he uses doesn't even have sights on them. Both the front and rear sight have bee removed.
