SureSight range report
I just put 800-rounds through my XD over the weekend. I drew from a kydex holster hundreds of times. I shot two-inch ragged holes from 5m.
The Sure Sight triangles proved their worth and durability. After so many draws, not a single chip in the paint. During a night shoot, the sights actually had a very nice mild luminescence about them, not over powering, just ... noticeable. They were easily picked up during rapid-fire drills when drawing from a concealed holster and putting two center-mass shots on target in 1.8 seconds. I had a number of people ask about them (yes, they're quite noticeable when viewed from the friendly-side of the gun). One of the instructors even inquired about them. One thing I noticed was that I was, sometimes, cheating, by focusing on the target rather than the front sight. Now, I didn't do as well when doing that, but still managed to hit the target area regularly. I still recommend a solid front sight picture. Overall, I'd say the Sure Sights live up to their billing. |
