My local indoor range guys did mine for $15 while I waited. They let me watch while they did it. They used a brass punch and a big hammer and still had to fight it but they finally came off intact and still usable. One guy started to get the Dremel ready but the sights started to move just in time.

I would love to say i got my sights but i havent! I know where they are but i dont have them.

My F***ing sights have been sitting at fedex since Aug 24, i just found this out 2 days ago when i got a tracking number because i was wondering what was taking so long. They say they cant find my address which is total BS! They deliver to my neighbor at least once a week.

When i called these idiots and ask why they did not notify me if they couldn't find my address they said they have no idea. I asked if they ever delivered to 125 on my street and they said oh yes, I told them thats my damn neighbor how can your driver not find me.. They dont know!

They then told me if i gave detailed directions they would deliver next Friday which is the 7th. I said are you out of your damn mind! Next Friday? You have had my package since the 24. Then She tells me i can come pick the package up. Sure i said let me take a half day off from work and drive 2 1/2 hrs using a half tank of gas to pick up the f***ing package i paid to have you deliver.

I will never ever buy from a company who uses fedex again. The UPS and DHL guys never have a problem finding me.I know them by name. They call a head of time if the package needs a signature or if there is a problem. Not fedex!

After i posted the above yesterday i was able to get a hold of a friend who didnt live to far from the fedex place and she went over to pick up the shipment for me. To add insult to injury when she got there they had no idea where the package was it took over an hour to find it. Any way we met up this morning about midway between both out homes and i picked the sights up and took them over to a local gun shop, gun smith and had them installed. I am not impressed with these sights.

Is there anyone you could elaborate on that statement? All you have ranted about was Fed Ex, which has nothing to do with the Sure Sights.

While you have had bad luck, I have had worse luck with UPS and shipments of ammo. I could blame Midway USA until I am blue in the face but the bottom line is that it was not their fault, but the fault of UPS.

Could you please explain more as to why are you not impressed with these sights? Thanks,

My SureSights arrived Fed Ex today, on schedule. They were each in a thin plastic bag, stappled together to the invoice inside a bubble-wrap padded envelope. I was a little surprised as I thought they came in tins.

Nonetheless, I have not found any scratches in the finish on the sights. The black portions look stout enough and I doubt they will experience problems with wear. The painted/yellow portions look very surface-level to me so only time will tell if they are durable.

Critique so far:

I'll say 'my bad' on my expectation on the packing. I'm sure somewhere out there is the official statement that the protective tins would no longer be used. I hope that when that change was made the price was reduced to reflect it.

The front sight looks pretty good, but the yellow paint on the rear sight is off. The thickness of the yellow bands vary. I'll post a picture later, but here are the details:

Yellow on left top rear sight is .07 in thick
Yellow on Right top rear sight is .05 in thick
lower edge of inner black triangle .148 from edge of sight on left
lower edge of inner black triangle .135 from edge of sight on right

The result is that the triangle portion of the rear sight appears 'fatter' on one side than the other. I do not yet know if this will affect accuracy or shot placement, but it was a lack of uniformity so I had to note it.

Email or call Chaim at SureSight and he will replace the sight if the graphics are defective. He stands behind the product fully and wants his customers to be happy.

I'll shoot him a message. I just figured this fell within 'factory tolerances' quality control wise. If it doesn't, I'd be happy to receive a replacement. I partially mounted the sights in the dovetails (like someone else has who posted a picture) and the sight alignment does feel easy to acquire so I'm optimistic about that degree of performance. Won't know about accuracy until they get mounted to the firearm of course.

The yellow is screen printed on so thickness may vary a bit. I have been talking to Chaim by email discussing ways to possibly recess the yellow. Since they are using screen printing at this time they have to put it on a flat surface which is what is causing it to be raised. I hope in the future they will be able to stamp out the area where the yellow goes and recess it. I recommended looking into a process called Pad Printing which might enable them to do just that.
