Suresight 4 me????

Being 57 my eyes are starting to get bad. It is getting so hard to see the front sights. I've tried the big dot I could see the front sight for only a few shots. Then the front sight went out of focus. Looking at the suresight it looks like it might be easy to see with my old eyes. I was wondering if anyone in my boat has tried the sights and what the results where. I'm also wondering is it a sight for a fast hit on center mass or is it still good for pinpoint accuracy and one hole groups.

I found that the sure sights are great for BOTH fast sight acquisition and accuracy.

Just gotta get through the learning curve and get used to them. I kept wanting to drop the front sight tip down to level it between the rear sight, like a 3-dot sight. (force of habit)

Once you get used to them, they are the best sights I've ever seen for front sight visibility/acquisition.

Anyone who REALLY wants a set right now, and wants a sweet .45 compact to go with them- look here:

I agree, about the learning curve. I was shooting way too low. But after some practice it does get easier to shoot with. I am currently using my Sure Sights in USPSA matchs.

I am in the same boat and same age. I just ordered a set of XS Big Dots for my Glock 27 hoping they will help as far as faster sight acquisition. If they don't, back they go - one of the nice things about ordering from Brownells - you pay a bit more but no hassles if things don't work out. Now, I am perfectly willing to try the Suresights too (do they go on with a MGW sight pusher?) but I can't wait around forever. They are either available for immediate shipment or not (sorry that's just the way things are right now) and I need to know if they don't work for me, back they can go. Judging from the many posts, it seems as if there's problems getting these things out the door.

I tried the Big Dot. After about one Mag it was like using other sights. This July 12 I have an appointment with an Eye Doctor in Phoenix. He is going to check my eyes and tell me if i'm a good candidate for Lasik Surgery. If I seem to be a good candidate they will do it the same day. My luck i'll have it and something will go wrong and i'll be blind as a bat. Good luck with the Big Dot

Are you currently wearing variable focus eye glasses (progressives). Requires a lot of head tilting when shooting to get that "sweet spot." Be careful with Lasik. Not everyone is a candidate and your eyes don't grow back. Choose your doctor carefully and don't rush into it.
