They do glow. It's not paint though. I think it is part of the coating.

As said it isn't paint, but a minute of sunlight will have them glowing along into the night! So anytime you are shooting at an outdoor range, you are "charging" (fof lack of a better word) them up. Even light from a lamp fors so you can do it at night too.

On the website it states:
"The yellow color coating is a special luminescent (glow-in-the-dark) polymer blend developed specifically for SureSight by a researcher at a school of polymers and advanced materials of a major university. It will visibly glow for up to a half hour on a 30 second charge from a bright light source, such as a SureFire or Streamlight flashlight, or sunlight. Because of the bright fluorescent coloring and large viewable surface area, even when the sight does not glow, it is highly visible in low light. But this feature can further help competition shooters in night shooting matches, or patrol officers during building searches."
