Thumbs up Fast delivery on my SureSights!

Thanks for a prompt delivery Chaim. 5 days! And that included a weekend! Great delivery time. Now if I can just get them on myself.

Thumbs up

I'm fairly certain I could've handled the job OK myself, but by the time I ran around and located the tools and drove out to my brother's garage to use his vise, I'd have a ton of time invested, so I called a nearby gunsmith who said he'd do the job for $25. He even met me near my home to pick up the XD-45 and new SureSights on the way home from his job in a nearby machine shop. Now that's what I call service!

Knowing I had an IDPA meet this weekend he even said he would try to have them installed tonight, so I could pick them up on my way into work tomorrow morning. That will hopefully give me a little practice time tomorrow and then the day after tomorrow I'll try it in the IDPA match. I'll keep you informed, that is if the results aren't too humiliating.

Picked up the XD-45 today! The new sights look great. I wanted to go to the range right then, but had to do a few hours of work at least. By early afternoon I was able to break away, and I headed straight to the range with a quick stopover at the local gunshop to show off the new sights. All my boys reacted favorably to them, and one says he is ordering a set for his Glock right away.

Later at the range I ran two targets out to about 7 yds. The first mag I tried slow and deliberate fire, just getting used to the new sights. I got used to them very quickly, and was within three inches offhand with most of the first 13. The second and third mags, I fired as fast as I felt I could get back on target. I was still grouping between 3"-4". Overall my groups were tighter and I was quicker producing them. Many of the holes were touching. I'll have to credit the sights for the improvement.

I only ran 60 rounds through today. Day after tomorrow I will try them out in a little tighter setting (IDPA), and with more rounds. We'll see if I'm still improved under a little pressure. So far, so good. Thanks Chaim.
