XD-D.C.,

Thank you for the suggestion.

The owner of that website (m4040.com) contacted me when he learned about my sights. He made that animation for his own website, but I have asked him and he is generously letting me use it on mine. I have contacted my webmaster and I hope to work it into the homepage in the next day or two. M40 is a really nice guy, and he's got some interesting stuff on his site, too.

I'm also proud to have him as a satisfied customer. Here's a snippet from an email he wrote me about his impressions with SureSight:

Quote:
Chaim,

I'd like to convey my initial observations upon using your sights.

Upon installation, these sights seemed a little strange at first. The front sight is really huge, and it seems very "different" from anything else I had tried. After about my first 30 or 40 rounds, I had moved past this hesitation, and the sights started to become more natural. At this point I began to work towards speed strings and double taps.

I have been focusing on my initial acquisition and double-tap skills for the last couple years. Over the last year or so (with weekly range sessions), I have been able to bring my speed up to the point where I can draw, acquire the target (8.5" x 11" sheet of paper at 25'), and put two rounds on paper, all in about a second. Transitions to successive sheets of paper and double-taps were on the order of about 3/4 of a second. In the last few months, it seemed as if I had hit my personal "speed limit".

In one range session with your sights (about 200 rounds), I was able to shave at least a quarter second off of both my initial acquisition and my double-tap times. So much for my "speed limit". Not only did I increase the speed, but my accuracy has noticeably improved. In particular, the second round on each of the double-taps has better placement.....
Thanks again,

--Leibster

Yer making me really want these sights, ya know. The problem is that I don't know anywhere in Squarebanks that could install them.

And shipping in ALaska is prohibitive.

Cryogaijin,

I'd be shocked if there wasn't a gunsmith somewhere in Fairbanks who can put these sights on. After all, all that's needed is some competence, a file, a vice a brass or nylon punch and a hammer. An awful lot of people own guns up there, there's got to be a gunsmith.

As for shipping, I checked, and the last guy who bought one in Fairbanks paid just under $20 for FedEx Ground.

XD-D.C.,

We've updated the website to include one of the animations right at the top of our home page. Please let me know what you think!

I like the new web page. It looks great. Talk about customer service, and I haven't bought anything from you "YET." Don't worry after I donate some more plasma, I will be buying those sights.

Well, looks like I'm gonna be your next purchaser. Between age and multiple retinal surgeries (damn diabetes ) me finding the front sight with even a real nice notch and post system has become.........embarassing. Didn't like the Big Dot sights much as I seemed to string shots vertically and spent too much time setting the dot on the post, but this seems like it may work better. I love shooting in competition and hopefully these will let me get at least some of my aquisition time back.

I'll be getting them too. I'm a bit broke after the trigger job, and the extra mags, holster etc. but it's certainly on the list in the next month.
