what is a three gun comp? and how is it ran? sry new to this.. curious, my uncle and i are looking to start some shooting comps.. appriciate any help

A 3gun match is just a match in which you shoot a few stages with pistol, a few with shotgun, and a few with a rifle... Depending on who is hosting the match the rules will be different.

If you're looking to get into shooting matches I reccomend going to Brian Enos's Forums... Maku mozo! (Powered by Invision Power Board) and reading as much as you can. There's some great great shooters that post there.

Livingston Gun Club up in MI has fantastic 3-gun setups. It's really worth the drive, at least for some of the bigger matches.

I'll be getting into it myself next year. Right now it's watch and learn (and buy enough guns...) time

3-gun is "ok". Like Gantz said, it is just match which has a few pistol stages, a few rifle, and a few shotgun.

But Multi-Gun is the NUTS!!!! It is a match which is mostly made up of stages which employ the use of at least two of your guns.
