No XDs in Production right??? Single Action Only.

I shoot one... and I like it quite a bit.
I did a trigger lob on mine and polished the sear faces to a mirror finish as well as the sides of the sear and hammer. I even polished the hammer and sear pins and the openings on the sear and hammer. I then polished the internal frame where the hammer and sear contact.

I installed a skeletonized hammer from an Elite, as well as a "D" spring, cut 2 turns off.

After assembly, I marred the surfaces of the sear to the hammer using the poor-boy method for both the SA and DA surfaces.

I have not measured the trigger pull, but it is MUCH, and I mean by a long shot, smoother than it was before. The crispness is right on par to my 1911, minus the trigger takeup.

The DA pull is MUCH lighter and I had no problem pulling of A's on the first shot. You barely tap the trigger now for SA shots.

So yeah, I think I am going to be sticking with my Beretta!

Yeah, that's what I heard. Even though many consider the XD to be just like a glock, they are quite different in their internal firing mechanisms.

The XD is definitely on the list of production guns, I shoot my XD-9 Tactical in it: Untitled Document. You may be thinking of IDPA, where it is indeed in a different division than a Glock (ESP vs. SSP, I believe).

That sounds like a sweet trigger job. Mine is pretty good.. but not quite as good as that.

I was the only guy I saw at USPSA production nationals using one. Ah well.. its still a sweet gun.

Thank you very much for that clarification! People must be confused between IPSC and IDPA.

XD is legal in IDPA Divisions ESP and CDP. Not SSP because springfield classified it in official documentation as a single action gun.

XD is perfectly legal in USPSA production as well as IPSC production.
