Question CR Speed Holster For XD

I recently received a CR Speed holster for my XD45tac Limited gun. First of all, I Love This Holster! And have always wanted one, and finally have one.

I have a few questions for all of you. I have the holster somewhat set up to the way I want it. But when I received it, it did not come with the screws required to mount the little spacers in where the Trigger guard goes. Now, I'm not sure if I need these since this holster is specifically made for the XD. Anyway, I get a lot of wiggle from side to side on my XD when it is holstered. It kind of wobbles. It's secure, don't get me wrong. I am just calling out to see if anyone else has had to deal with this. Or, is that just how it is on these holsters?

Another thing, which is probably a little to specific. I can only lower the holster so far, due to the Canyon Creek tungsten mag release I have installed. The left larger portion of the release will run into the Versa Hangar if I try to lower it farther. Any suggestions? Or experience with this?

I will try to add pictures this afternoon.

One more thing. Anyone using the CR Mag pouches. Do you guys Loctite the outer screws once you get them where you want them? Or do you just leave them?

Thanks in advance for all the info.

I really like the CR Pouches and the new generation holster works very good. I haven't seen the XD specific holster. No need to loctite the pouches (I have at least 12 of them on different rigs) just keep an eye on the adjustment knobs, as the nuts can work loose.

You don't want to drop the holster too far as it slows the draw.

Steet Challenge

Sorry haven't had time to add pictures. I just got done shooting the Washington State Steel Challenge Championship in Ephrata with the rig. All I can say is, WOW! It really speeds you up on the draw. I took 2nd in Law Enforcement. But I haven't seen the full match results as it was only yesterday. I got a nice Spyderco engraved knife though sweet! I wasn't able to get any pictures except like 1 or 2 through my iPhone cause the fiance didn't want to make the trip this time, more wedding stuff.

But if any of you local or semi local guys ever get a chance to shoot with Carl Carbon or Pat Kelley they are class acts. And really put on a fun match, whether it's their 3 gun every year or this. Which will be an annual thing from now on is what I've heard. It was supposed to be a trophy only match (engraved knives) but they ended up giving a TON of stuff away! Which is awesome. Even one 10 yr old kid walked away with a free Glock cert. which I thought was really cool.

Oh yeah, and of course Chuck Anderson won like everything

EDIT: Hey the iPhone deally bob is kinda cool....

Video

I hope this works it's pretty big. But I can't seem to find any of the inserts that will fit. The trigger guard fits in there perfect. But once it's in there, it wobbles gaaah!! It works fine, but I still feel kind of funny with a wobbley gun in my holster.

The trick with a speed holster is to only unlock it a second before that buzzer goes. If not, you run the risk on dropping the gun and leave the match early, which of course is no fun. A little wobble isn't a problem.

I am too much of a wimp to run such a rig. I run my BT holsters for everything.

Yeah, thats what I do or did do since I only used it once so far. Unlock when your making ready. But I just thought I would throw this out there in case there are people either with the same issue, or were thinking about going to this set up. The CR mag pouches beat the hell out of the safariland ones by the way, what a Huge difference.

The wierrd thing is that this holster was Specifically made for the XD, or at least that's what I was told, and thats what it says on the box. So thats the reason why I was so concerned with this. Anyway, I still recommend this holster and pouches, they are Super Speedy!! Even if your Not!!
