I had an HS9 Tactical & used a CR Speed Holster with similar movement to you, no shims fitted.
As a side note, the HS/XD holster also fits a Glock. Am very pleased with all my CR Speed gear (2 holsters, 12 mag pouches). Having said that, I use a Ghost Holster for my CZ.
