Does Anybody Use Frangible in USPSA?

I have been searching for a factory round that would give be the least recoil and make major with my XD45TAC. The Winchester 45 Auto +P (175gr) Sinterfire Frangible seems like it would work good.
Speeds/Chrono:
Muzzle--1000FPS
5 yards--994FPS
25 yards--969FPS
I've never shot this kind of ammo through a 45, though I have shot 5.56 and 9mm and they worked flawlessly. The speeds seem fast but it is only a 175gr bullet so recoil should be low right?
Well I don't know about pressure tolerances and other specs so I'll just put them here and you guru's can tell me what you think.

Symbol: RA45SF – Winchester Ranger Sinterfire Frangible
Shellcase: 45 Auto +P brass shellcase
Bullet: 175 grain (11.3 gram) Frangible; 100% lead free; copper/tin composite Diameter .4510 inch (11.46 mm)
Powder: Clean burning, low flash
Primer: Winchester lead free, heavy metal free priming mix; nickel plated cup; boxer type
Accuracy: Product Mean of 3.0in (7.6cm) Extreme Spread 5 shot targets at 50yds (45.7m) from a 5in (12.7cm) SAAMI test barrel
Velocity: 1000 ft/sec (305 m/s) nominal at 15 ft (4.6 m) Fired in a 5inch (12.7 cm)SAAMI test barrel
Energy: 389 ft-lb (527 joules)
Pressure: 23,000 psi max. average (1586 bars) Waterproofing: Lacquer applied to primer annulus

All that is like Japanese to me so I hope it won't blow up my XD

Try it and see what you think. normaly you want heavy bullets with fast powder for a lower recoil impulse curve but in this case its factory. I would say its possible, let us know how it works for you.

The frangible ammo Ive shot was in .357 Sig and it was hard to tell a difference.

Todd Jarrett uses it in at least one division. One of his sponsors is Sinterfire.

I'm excited to give it a shot. Is there anywhere online that you can buy it? I can't seem to find it. I'm working on Precision Delta through my company, but it will take a while.

Being "frangible" should not make any difference. Basically you are firing a projectile of a given weight with a specific amount of powder which burns at another specific weight.
It comes down to the weight of your bullet and the type of powder that the company loads the cartridge with.

"normal" operating pressure is about 21,000 psi, so this stuff should be more than fine. I think you'll just need to buy some and shoot it. I'm gonna guess it's pretty expensive stuff. There are a few JHP's produced by factory loads that come with a fast 165g bullet in .45ACP if yhou want to try a few more out while you're at it. It's easier to test a few different ones at the same time for comparison (for me at least)

Thats good to know about the pressure. Keep in mind that I am trying to get the company I work for to buy this for me. And when it comes to that they usually don't care about money. Considering they just ordered a bunch CR Speed for us. They even ordered stuff for my XD, which isn't even my duty gun. I can't wait for that stuff to get here!!

Oh and if I wanted to order some myself, to try it out, where could I find some? I have searched online and not had much luck. And I haven't seen any at say Sportsmans Warehouse or the local shops. So any help finding this stuff? Prices?

Winchester Ranger Frangible 45ACP

Reviving this thread for an update:

Well I found out last night my range master ordered 10,000 rounds of this stuff to try out. So I will have a Range report with this sometime in the next month or two. These orders usually take a long time to get here. Shoot the American Eagle 45 order is back ordered till the end of June!
