Today's Match
I finally made it to another match. I bet is has been close to a year. It was at Whistling Pines in Colorado Springs. Indoors and just two stages. I finished 22nd and 17th out of 30 shooters. Results not grouped by class yet.
First stage the vent on top of the slide popped up. It was a little hard shooting with that in the sight line! I will see what is up with it tomorrow. Second stage I got 15 of 16 "A"'s. Funny story - Guy was complaining about his Springfied 1911. They had one head shot that I nail (yuk yuk). He came up to me after I shoot and asked what I was shooting. I told him his least favorite gun - Springfield. We had a good laugh over it. There was one GM there and he was kind enough to compliment my shooting. Of course maybe he tells everyone. I forgot to mention that an 11 year old girl shot the match. It has been a couple months since I shot so I was pleased with my overall results.

I went again tonight. I tried to shoot faster, but my accuracy went down. We did one classifier (Times Two) so I will be interested where that falls.
I think I need to shot somewhere between the speed of tonight and the accuracy of last time. I am hoping this will be my fourth classifier? I was consistent. 20th overall on both stages. There was an 11 year old boy there. He had very good recoil control and did well. His Dad said he couldn't participate last year because he couldn't rack the slide.

I am hoping to go to Boulder Rifle Club the end of the month. The stages are longer and more complex than Whistling Pines.
I hope I can do some practice shooting before then. I will shoot a few extra rounds for you deprived shooters.

Where are you? Why don't you have access to them? I have noticed we haven't been blessed with new videos in a long while but I thought that was just because I've been gone.
