Just tried IDPA

I did my first IDPA match and it was a blast. I was wondering what is a good cheap holster and mag pouch and concealment garment that is IDPA legal.

Thanks,
Zac

Give this a try for a vest.

Outdoor Fishing Vest, Men's Clothing, Brand Not Specified at Sportsman's Guide

Keep in mind of you normally wear an xl you might want to order a 2x. They run a little small. Trust me .

Give a blade tech holster and mag pouch a try.

I did my first IDPA match a week ago. +1 on the Blade Tech holster, I used an IWB from them and like it lots. I used a Fobus carrier for my mags...it seemed to not be really stable when pulling a fresh one out.

For cover garment, try a sport coat/suit coat from Goodwill or Salvation Army. For about $5 you can get your pick from plaid 70's professional, velvet lounge maroon, pinstripe banker, or the occasional tweedy aristocrat. Just make sure the pockets exist, you may have to take a blade to open to open 'em. For less than a box of ammo, you can get an assortment to suit your mood, and maybe match the gun you choose that day. Seriously, the coat gives the regulation coverage, get's out of the way to draw, and gives you a place to retain magazines.

I would invest in good gear, as you will end up hating your cheaper choice and spend that much more. I would suggest the Blade-Tech Belt Holster with Tek-Lok and the Blade-Tech Dual Mag Pouch in either Kydex or the injection mold. I prefer the Kydex pouch.

Welcome to IDPA!

Do you CC? If so why don't you use what you carry in for IDPA?

A good recommendation. That's what I use in both IDPA and USPSA.
