Some people find being in ESP only to be silly. ESP is the easiest division to make Master in.

the general complaint is because how the XD's action is categorized, it can't compete in SSP aka "Stock Service Pistols" where I think it belongs with the Glocks and M&P's. Rather it's forced into the ESP division.

ESP division allows for hot rodded 1911's in smaller calibers that are heavily customized and they usually rule the ESP world. Of course you will always find the gifted few that can hold their own against the 1911 crowd.

I think SSP is the easiest to make Master, as you have an extra 8.41 seconds.

1911's didn't win either the 2007 Oregon or Washington State Championships in ESP or on a MUCH bigger stage the IDPA Nationals CDP division

I have nothing against the 1911's, but prefer a gun designed for the 9mm round when shooting it.

Yeah but you can go way faster with a single action 9mm 1911 in ESP.

Or an XD with one of your triggerjobs.....

What type of pistol did the winner use?

Thanks for the kinds words, but from my experience that isn't what the timer shows me.

I've shot the classifiers with a SVI 2011 .40 loaded to minor, XD, Tanfoglio, Glock, and CZ SP01 and the times are generally within a couple second of each other. The SVI is by far the softest, but it doesn't make it significantly faster for me.

XDONBOARD,

07 W.S. IDPA - XD 9mm
07 O.S. IDPA - Tanfoglio Elite Match 9mm
07 Nats CDP - XD .45

I have a DOH attached to my bladetech for my XD9 tactical. Is the DOH legal for IDPA and USPSA Production?

Thanks in advance.

The DOH is not legal for IDPA and only for USPSA if it meets holster position requirements in the USPSA rulebook.
