My USPSA videos this past weekend/XD Tatical in .45

Hey ya'll. New guy here. So I shot USPSA this weekend with my XD Tactical .45 in Limited 10 and thought I would share. Hope you enjoy the vids!

YouTube - Aristotle USPSA Rentonf F&G

I placed 3rd overall in my division for my efforts, beat by a couple old schoolers that showed me a trick or two.

Nice shootin' A

Looks like you've been working at it, keep it up. I hope to make it up for there again this year.

nice job.

couple things. your shot cadence is a little sporadic. you really want a steady stream of shots. your splits are good but your transitions are slow.

great reaction to the buzzer. lots of people go on the end of the buzzer you really want to go on the begging.

movement. overall was fairly good but there was a couple were you had to adjust yourself after entering the shooting position and that takes alot of extra time. setup. when you entered the shooting postion you were taking an awful long time (less than a second but it adds up) to seat your feet and take aim and then fire. the way i would recomend it is this
look were youre going .. stare right at were you want your first foot to land so that you are in the optimal postion and book it there. as that first foot is falling into place your attention shifts to the target and the front sight as your second foot touches the first round should be fired. when leaveing a shooting position know your going to move and do it asap.
fire your last shot at that array and dont worry about if you hit it or not. pull the trigger and before the slide even has a chance to cycle take off.

your reloads are good but work on keeping your gun higher infront of your eyes while doing it. just a good habit and it gets you back on target faster if you dont have to lower your gun or look away from the target.

good luck and sorry for all the criticizing but its how i learned

one more thing. you check your shots alot. after your reload at 1:44 after every shot you lowered your weapon to check your shot. you lost about 3 secs that way.

again good luck

Oh, no. I thoroughly appreciate the feedback. I'm always looking for tips and tricks and those are some great points I'm definitely going to look at. My friend is telling me that maybe I'm dropping my "elbow" of my strong arm too much on the reaload and that I should put it up to my face more. So that mirrors advise I recieved from someone I also trust very well.

Please, anyone, feel free to offer up some criticism. It's very much appreciated!

Thanks all!

I hope to shoot with you again as well S!

I'll be "somewhat" in your neck of the woods around the end of June.
