Do you see many XDs in competition? do most people use 1911s?

One more question, do you have to use 10 round magazines for competition? I have the 13 round mags.

it doesn't matter what you mags capacity holds in USPSA, just what you load them to. I also use 13 rounders, but only load them to 10 rounds each for Limited 10 and 8 rounds each in CDP.

yes, there certainly is. They are usually found shooting in production and limited 10. We are still outnumbered by the Glock shooters, but there are plenty of really good shooters wielding the XD in my area. My buddy took 1st place in his division last year with an XD at the last Area 1 championships.

And yes, there are certainly a lot of 1911's in both IDPA and USPSA. I also run a couple of 1911's myself in L10 and Single Stack.

Sorry to hear that man. I can't get enough of this competition crap!! I shot the Area 1 Championship with my 45 tac in Limited (MINOR!!!) came up at like 164.7 PF after the re-shoot on the chrono.

But yes I see a lot of XD's in competition. Mostly production though.

ps: Oh yeah I am Ryan Richardson in Limited div. of course Emanual smoked us all....

23rd out of 72 shooters is not bad at all!!!

Manny smokes pretty much everyone. In the 2005 Limited nationals he came 2 points from upsetting TGO!!
