My BladeTech Holster Has An Open Bottom

I have been using my XD9 Service but I am soon switching to a Tactical.

I was just checking out my Bladetech Stingray holster and the bottom looks open enough to have the tactical stick out a bit.

Are all BT holsters for the XD like this? My Stingray for my 1911 has a closed bottom.

Any issues with using it for IDPA/IPSC?

It doesn't seem like enough room for it to be hit and pop loose.

No problems with it sticking out for IDPA or USPSA. Just check to see that your front sight doesn't hang up on the draw.

My Blade-Tech holster has an open bottom, but the barrel of my XD9 Tactical doesn't stick out. If you have a closed bottom dirt and debris can collect in there.

I cut the closed bottom out of a service length holster to fit my tactical and used it for a while with good results.
