My BladeTech Holster Has An Open Bottom
I have been using my XD9 Service but I am soon switching to a Tactical.
I was just checking out my Bladetech Stingray holster and the bottom looks open enough to have the tactical stick out a bit. Are all BT holsters for the XD like this? My Stingray for my 1911 has a closed bottom. Any issues with using it for IDPA/IPSC? It doesn't seem like enough room for it to be hit and pop loose. |

No problems with it sticking out for IDPA or USPSA. Just check to see that your front sight doesn't hang up on the draw.

My Blade-Tech holster has an open bottom, but the barrel of my XD9 Tactical doesn't stick out. If you have a closed bottom dirt and debris can collect in there.

I cut the closed bottom out of a service length holster to fit my tactical and used it for a while with good results.
