2011 Or Doublestack For IDPA
The more and more I hold STI type pistols the more and more I think they feel really comfortable in my hands.
What 2011 or doublestacks do you guys recommend I look at in 9mm for IDPA? |

If you're only going to use it for IDPA... what about a 9mm Eagle?

What type of competition shooting do you participate in with this?

I shoot IDPA, some, and most guys who shoot IDPA with STIs use the single stack Trojan
if a double stack fits your hand better, In USPSA most guys use the Edge, but it's not legal in IDPA...you will need to go with the Eagle I've been drooling over one of these: http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...port_right.jpg

I have a little experience with the Eagle. It's the gun of choice for one of the older gentlemen I shoot with.
He's let me shoot a few rounds through it and overall I remember being quite impressed. Sorry I don't have a whole lot lol.. It was only about a mag through it a little over a year ago. If I needed an IDPA gun and wanted a 2011 it's the one I'd choose.

I use a Para P18-9. If you have money crawling out of your pocket go with the Eagle with the bushing barrel. Or spend the other $800.00 on gear, ammo..or another gun! I would consider going with a .40 cal for $1600.00+. Thats a lot of money to spend on high cap pistol to use in the 10 rd ESP division. With a .40 you could also shoot USPSA Limited major and not be penalized for minor pf scoring.

In IDPA I shoot what I carry. For me that is an XD9 4".
