need length 1911 10rd mags...
Hi everybody. Thought I'd post here since XDTalk is the most imformative.
Does anybody know the length of the 10rd mags for a single stack 1911? I just learned that we here in Canada are allowed them in IPSC if they are under 170mm or 6 11/16" Since I don't own any at this time, I thought it best to ask. The measurement is from the base to the top of the lip in the back along the spine of the mag. I got messed up big time last match as I should have went Production with my XD9's 10 rounds instead of 8 in the 1911. Thanks in advance.

Chip McCormick 10 round .45ACP for single-stack 1911. Measured as per Appendix F1 of the IPSC Rulebook, January 2004 edition.
Without bumper pad - 141mm With bumper pad - 154mm Before you buy a boatload of one particuar mag, buy two to try for function first. My Springfield loved McCormick mags but choked on Tripp Research. Other guys went with Wilsons because McCormicks didn't run like they should in their guns.

KEWL! Thanks Hank. That helps a lot. 16mm to spare.
Definately plan to pick one up to see how well it functions before I buy more for competitions. And if they don't help so much, at least 10rds is good for practice.
