IDPA Legal IWB Holsters

OK. I think I am stuck between getting a comp-tac C-TAC or a crossbreed super tuck.

A little background - I am a normal height very large guy. I currently carry IWB with just a clipdraw. I want to carry condition 1 but don't feel safe doing it with a clipdraw.

1. Are either of these holsters IDPA legal? The guy there suggested the comp-tac so I have to assume it is.

2. I am a very large guy. Do you think that either of these holsters will work considering I am spongy and rolly. Yeah.

Thanks ahead of time for any opinions.

I shoot IDPA using my Crossbreed Supertuck. I've seen guys with CTACs too. If you download and read the IDPA Handbook you'll find that the rules for IWB holsters are a lot more loose than OWB.

That was one thing the guy said. IWB the cant wasn't important and all those space requirements were so restrictive. I know women were given special holsters that guys couldn't use.

Can a fat guy use IWB though?

Of course. We have more room for the pistol to blend into our body. The skinny guys usually have a harder time.

I figured my love handle would push the gun handle out a little bit.

... and also provides cushioning. Get some duct tape and tape a soda can to a pillow then a telephone pole. Put a t-shirt over each one. Which one will be easier to blend in?

All IWB "holsters" are approved in IDPA. I believe the clip draw would be considered an attachment, not a holster. My preference for competition holster material is kydex.

Yep. They even emphasize in the rulebook that all IWB holsters are legal (as long as they have strong-side placement and not cross-draw).
