i used to sr. year in high school and for about a year after that ('01-'02)
had a tippmann 98 custom, tippmann A-5 response, Bushmaster BKO, and an Angel Speed.

it got too expensive...$60 in paint every weekend, + compressed air + field fee.

a friend of mine had a large lot with some abandoned buildings that we could play for free at, but it was sold.

maybe requiring a safe handling demonstration before sale of a firearm is a good idea:

I still play off and on. As a senior in college it is too expensive to play much and the number of folks that play here is really small and not too many woods ball players. I still have my kit, 72 ci N2 tank, remote, Tippmann/Spec Ops A-5A2, Special Ops Dagger Vest, 7 x150 round pods, V-Force Mask, CamelBak Bladder, sling made out of para-cord and my AF issue combat boots. I am thinking about selling it all so I can get a new gun since all it does is take up space in my closet.

I turned 50 last year, I just got my AutoCocker 2000 by Worr Games back from my Bud in So Cal for a tune up, its got all the upgrades, Bomb 3 way Palmer ram, Rat high volume low pressure valve, high volume front block bolt, Super fly Bolt, ACI millinium Stainless steel barrel, Hinge Trigger.... This thing is very quiet, good sniper marker. Been playing for close to 10 years.

I too had surgerys (4) on the old knees 2 on each and I'm afraid the balls out front playing days are over for me and Im 6'5" 280 now and can't run...But that cocker shoots...

It was a real rush the one time I did play. Almost felt real. My heart was thumping like a speaker box. A real adrenaline dump. I can only imagine how soldiers in real combat feel.

I use to play alot, but in the last year I have only been once. We keep trying to plan a trip, but always something comes up. Having 2 kids stops alot of extra play time for the adults. lol Oh well that's part of being a parent and I would trade it for anything. I wasn't sure the last time we went if my Tippman would remember how to work or not... lol It did though like always. Tippman 98 Custom, ported & polished, drop forward, double trigger, and electro hopper. Just a basic setup, but does a good job for woods ball.

this is a great thread. i used to play. i really got into it for awhile. had a friend that would have a bunch of us over to his house every sunday and we would play for a few hours. unfortunatly i was in college at that time so i was only able to play like every other weekend. but i really got into buying guns and customizing them. so i have a decent amount of gear. then i got home from college and they all stopped playing. i played 1 twice last summer. i was bummed. i really hope to play more this year.

here's my gear:
tippmann a5, rampage board, special ops air through stock, stiffi switch kit

tippmann custom pro, rampage board, flatline barrel, cyclone feed system, special ops air through stock

tippmann 98 custom, response trigger cp barrel

ICD Promaster, too many upgrades to list (basically the only thing stock on this one is the body of the gun)

i also have a spyder electra and a spyder victor II.

I used to play 3 years ago before I joined the AF. But since they i moved to different hobbies, motorcycle track days, cars, now firearms. I would definitely love to play again... On another note, my brother just turned pro for Bob Long's Oakland Blast. Those of you that play tourny ball all know who BL is.

Some of my old rigs:

^ yes, I know the barrel's a bit long, it never got used however.
