XD for Competition Shooting

Does anyone here, or someone you know, use an XD for competition shooting? If so, what modifications did you do?...What parts did you use? Where did you get your modifications done?

I run IPSC Production division matches with mine. It's completely stock, no fancy sights or mods. I'm still a lousy shooter, but the gun is great.

I'm in the same boat as SoupOrMan, lousy shot and all. lol Only I currently shoot IDPA matches as I'm just starting out. After I build up some skill, I would love to start shooting for competition. I don't plan on adding any modifications other than a sight. I wasn't going to add a sight to my XD9, except I finally found one that I like. I was on another thread earlier today and someone mentioned this particular sight. They posted the link to this site: http://www.suresight.com/
After I checked out this site I had changed my mind about adding a sight to my baby.
To each their own I guess.

I shoot USPSA Limited division and production division with my xd9... I had Scott @ Springerprecision do my triggerjob, install an extended mag release, some Dawson Sights (fiberoptic front, Target adjustable rear) and I've got a detachable magwell and some +5 basepads for Limited division...

It's listed on his site (price) I got the competition trigger job @ about 3lbs... Really smooth none of that 'two stage' feeling anymore just light enough, Very worth it, has about 1/8" of travel now... gimme a minute I'll try to find a pic...

Just back from Springer

I shoot a xd40 tactical. Scott install Dawson FO and did a trigger job. My sights looks like the same ones that Sloppy70 has on his. The only downside that I notice with the Dawson sights is that I have to buy a new holster. I have been using a Blackhawk CCQ. The Dawson's sights sits too high to fit in the Blackhawk. Other than that, I do shoot USPSA and IDPA with an XD.
