my first pin match
Local club had a fun shoot last night. It was a modified pin match. Modified in such that the pins were set closer to the back of the table than i guess is standard.
Using 124 gr Olympic, my first stage took me 14 sec and 7 rds, second 13 sec and 6 rds, then the "I got this down cold" factor hit and the third stage took me 24 sec and a mag and a half (15 rds). Damn things just wouldn't fall no matter how many times I missed them. oh well.... better sight discipline next time.

I used a 40 the first time out shooting pins and had a heck of a time knocking them off the table. Not so hard hitting 'em, but getting them off the table was a bit tricky.
I've since changed tactics and use 8.5 grains of Unique behind a 300 grain pill (in my 45 Colt Blackhawk). There ain't no mistake when you hit that thing as it sends 'em flyin' 10 feet off the table!
