My first big match

I shot my first big match this past weekend. I did ok for me. 32/43. I learned some things about myself and others. I shot my skill level and tryied to got faster, but I found that my head played games with me. The folks in this sport are the best folks I have ever met. When I was having trouble getting my head back in the game every one around was offering words of support and ecouragement.

This event had over 200 shooters ( the area 7 aware championship) and everyone there. Shooters who were national players and locals all help each other.

I am proud to be in this sport and want to thank everyone here and everywhere for there help.

The biggest thing I learned is that you have to slow down and remember the basics when all else fails. Front sight, front sight, front sight.

Anyway this event was an eyeopening and I can't wait for the next event I can shoot.

DVC to all

Glad to hear that you came away from the big match with a positive outlook.
