Pics & Video from May13th USPSA match, Crooked Creek NE Ohio.

Web page with diagrams (some still to come), pictures and head cam video from the match.

Rather than hot link it all here in the thread I just created a quick and simple web page for the match. Click the link above. The match was four stages just shy of 100rd. Your's truly (mcb) designed and setup Stage 3: Hold Still its the only stage with a diagram (since I designed it) hopefully I will update that part when the stage diagrams go up on the Crooked Creek Pistol League page. The stage is only my second stage I have design and used three moving target in it.

Since I help setup on Saturday and RO on Sunday I manage to shoot the match 3 times so you will see Limited-10, Revolver and Limited runs on two of the stages, on two others only Revolver and Limited since I forgot to turn the camera on for two of L-10 runs.

Other than 3-gun matches this was my first time shooting Limited. For Limited I use my normal XD-40 Tactical that I shoot in L-10 but I had two magazine with homemade extension and two with Arredondo Extended Base Pad so I had four 15 round magazine to shoot the stages with. I will be interested to see how I did with 15+1 against the real limited guns that are 19 or 20 + 1.

Anyway, enjoy the video and let me know if you liked it. I saw several other XD shooters at the match but I am horrible with names so let me know if you shoot the match with us. I was one of the guys ROing and was wearing the orange If at first you don't succeed; RELOADT-shirt.

Later

As a Production shooter, it's neat to watch and listen to those extra number of rounds you are allowed to shoot. It looks like a nice area. I'm shooting down in Pickaway county, so it's a little too far for me to travel up to Ashtabula county. Thanks for sharing.

Nice shooting. I always love seeing a 1st person view.

I'm in Ohio too. Are you shooting at PCSI? I'm wanting to get started in shooting IPSC and IDPA and PCSI is really close to me.. I'm thinking about going up there for the Steel Plate shoot this saturday. Right now, I have a CZ-75B, looking to trade my 686+ SW for a XD Tactical.

Are you shooting at PCSI?

Yes. Here's the site: http://www.k8nd.com/pcsiipsc.htm. The info has not been updated, but it shows the different match dates and any email info you might need. Your CZ should be fine. I traded a Blackhawk for my Tactical. I'm keeping my 686.

The results were up for the match and I took first in Limited-10 and had my re-shoot counted I would have had second in Limited. Revolver there was only two of us and for some reason the other shooter did not get a score on one of the stages so I can't really say I took first of two.

My 686 isn't used anymore. I don't really have a use for it.. I love my CZ and won't sell it.. I use it for the bowling pin matches at Blackwing in Delaware.

I was thinking of trying my .22 for a challenge in pin matches at New Albany. But since you mentioned it, maybe I should consider my 686 since I don't shoot it much. Everyone else seems to use an auto. Hmmm...

It's a Smith and Wesson 610 full under-lug 6.5 inch barrel. Chambered for 10mm but I shoot 40S&W (loaded to 10mm OAL) in it for competition. Ported revolvers are not allowed in USPSA revolver division. Also 7&8 shot revolver are allowed but you have to reload after firing 6 rounds or you get bumped to open class so there is no advantage to shooting a 7+ shot revolver.

Most USPSA Revolver shooters (~80-85%) shoot S&W 625 (45ACP) the big charge hole make for the easiest and fastest reloading. The second most used revolver is the 610 since it is factory ready for moon clips. You do occasionally see 357maganum revolver but since you need to shoot 40cal or bigger to make Major for scoring there are not supper popular.
