I'm going crazy here.

USPSA season has started up and I can't seem to get to a match, one local range that held monthly matches burned down, the NRA ranges holds their matches on Tuesdays and I coach a rifle team at another range on Tuesdays, I normally shoot monthly matches at an outdoor range about an hour away but last month the boys had a scout camp out and this month I volunteered to help instruct at a Women On Target event the same day as the match.

No I'm going to the WOT event. Was at the range just a couple hours ago getting the target frames set up for them. We got about 8,000 rounds for the ladies to shoot up. If they don't finish it off then we get to.

I feel your pain, sir. I have not been to a match in a few months. I did catch one on the tail of winter though and actually had nice weather for it. Work won't seem to allow me to get to a match. Maybe someday soon...

Well the good news is that we had a great time at Women on Target.

60 women came out to shoot and have a BBQ lunch with us.

Some of the ladies had never shot before, one of them brought her new rifle along and wanted to shoot it. We were only letting the ladies shoot .22 LR, asked the lady what she had. Her new rifle was a .375 H+H magnum. She's going to Africa in a couple months hunting cape buffalo. She normally shoots a .300 win mag.

Had another lady come out that had never fired a gun before, she had recently been burglarized while she was home. Terrifying experience for her. a friend gave her a gun to defend herself. A 6 shot Charter Arms .38 snubby. The friend gave her the loaded gun in a soft gun case and didn't show her how to use it.

I know the friend meant well, but why would you had a loaded gun to a person that had no idea how to shoot it?
