OK ladies and gentlemen, Ms Neomet has been shooting quite well of late and is seriously considering competing in our Tac match on Thursday. I think one of the great ways to get her there is some encouraging words from her new friends here and possible some amusing antedotes about FUBARs you have managed. (She is worried she will look like a dork)

Let her go to the match and see how it's done and then maybe she will be less apprehensive about competing. My wife of 27 years shot the pants off of me for the first 2 years we were married and to this day with a REVO in her hand she keeps up no problem. Besides what will you do when she outshoots you ?????????????????? Go for it Mrs. Neo

Well, there was the IDPA match that I was kickin ass at. I'm normally OK, but it was a pretty good day that day. The buzzer went off, I drew, and my pants got way too big for my ass. As I was coming up, I realized that the kydex IWB was still hooked on the gun. Nothing like a wardrobe malfunction costing you time at an IDPA match. I managed to clear it, but that is one of the instances that has earned me the nickname "do-it-again Ben."

My wife has outshot me for years in competition, but I am gaining on her..

I have done all sorts of funny things.. dropped mags during reloads, shooting the hostage target instead of the hostage taker..forgot to take the safety off and my best one during a night shoot.. looking where the flashlight was aimed, but not aiming the pistol. Out of six targets and 12 shots, I had 2 holes where they were supposed to be.. embarrassing...

No wonder my wife beats me..
