Does anyone shoot a Para for Production--USPSA (CDP-IDPA)?
Just wondering if anyone here is shooting IDPA and or USPSA (Production or Limited or L10) with a Para 1911. If so what have you discovered you liked and dislike?
I have a a club member who is moving to DC and it's getting rid of some of his Para's...

I have a Para Tac S & C7-45 LDA. Love 'em. If I wasn't shooting the XD in competition, I would be shooting the LDAs in Production. If they are .45 ACP you can shoot them in IDPA SSP, ESP & CDP as long as it meets the weight limit.

The only thing that is going to keep you from shooting the para in SSP is the weight, or at least the weight of the high caps. I was looking into a para for limited and noticed Todd Jarrett uses the LDA in production! I'm in the same boat as R Dub though, I'm shooting my XD in production, limited 10, and ESP so I'll stick with it....less money for a new gun lol.

When I shoot limited, I shoot my Para 16-40. It runs like a scalded dog and didn't cost near what the S_I types do.

What did Todd Jarrett shoot to take 4th (?) in the nationals last week?
I'd hazard a guess it was a Para LDA....

I seriously doubt that Todd shoots a LDA in Limited, its most likely some type of single action Para.
