Timer preference Please...

Has anyone out there used the PACT club timer, and or a Pocket Pro II??? I've narrowed it down to these two that I want, but they seem to have the same features to some extent, but I don't have any experience with shot timers, so some help would be Great Thanks

I asked this question before and most recommended the CED 7000. I actually ended up buying a used Pocket Pro from someone on the list.

Search CED 7000 and I bet you get some forum results.

I did some research, and asking around about the CED 7000, and the negative comments I got about it (which I kind of expected anyway, and what turned me away from it) were that you have to take it off your belt to look at the times, cause its flat... and that the buttons on it are cheap feeling and made of that plasticky chrome stuff... after thinking about it I'd rather have the Pocket Pro II or PACT cause you can stick it on your belt, and just look down on it after a string of fire, which will work good for me for lots of practice that i do that would be aggrivating to take it on and off after every time I practice a draw and shoot...

My son has one.

So far it is holding up well. But it doesn't see a lot of range use. We use it mostly for dry firing drills, setting par times.

It's easy to use, large easy to read screen.

Best part is he won it in a raffle. CED Donates one every couple of months to USPSA Junior shooters.

I ordered the CED 7000 last week should show up today. The steel targets from MGM should be here tomorrow. Going to be a fun time at the range this weekend.

I have the Pact II, CED 8000 and just ordered 2 CED 7000's for our USPSA club. I like the the new 7000's. Nice display, its very light, you hand hang around your neck or purchase the wrist band..It has nice function buttons.

Plus, its rechargeable.
