Background

Over the last thirteen years, TASC has presented a USPSA approved charity match that has produced over $108,000 in cash and toys for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots campaign. It has received both local and national media coverage.
For the history of the match, TASC has been one of the largest contributors to the Santa Clara County Toys for Tots program, in the company of organizations such as Lockheed Martin and the San Jose Sharks.
Recent matches were hosted by the Richmond Hot Shots and the Richmond Rod and Gun Club, with range fees donated to NRA hunter safety programs and other causes.
Stage designs and volunteer work have also been contributed by other clubs and individuals in the Northern California Section, as well as the USMC.
In the past, shooters who participated at the match received prizes awarded by raffle. In some years, the prize table exceeded $20,000, all of it garnished through the generous donations of sponsors and individuals, many of whom are not related to the shooting sports.
The 2005 match netted a total of $3165.38, handed over to the Toys for Tots Foundation.
