While yes both guns do move the striker back as you pull the trigger the Glock is about 3/4 fully cocked when the slide is cycled. What that means is as you pull the trigger the striker goes back the other 1/3 distance to **** the gun before the striker is released. On the XD the gun is really fully cocked and the only backward travel that the striker has is the tiny bit that happens as the sear rotates in place while moving down to release the striker. The rotation is due to the sear not actually moving down but rotating around a pin as it lowers the surface that contacts the striker.

I used my XD9 Tactical in IDPA until I got my XD9 Service. Now I use the service in IDPA as this is also my carry gun and use the XD9 Tactical for 3 Gun.

Thumbs up

As stated by others, it qualifies and does well. Mine was set up for USPSA use and I switched to IDPA and didn't have to change anything on the gun. However, only two mags were allowed for IDPA compared to four in the other sport, plus the round count changed. No worries with the Tac9 at all.

Yes. It is the bestest gun I have for IDPA,....heavily modified by PRP. I used it to move from MM to EX in the span of the summer by winning two matches.

That's just Glock legend. You actually have to pull back harder on a Glock trigger because Glock sucks!

You'll be even happier when you get a great aftermarket trigger in it.
